Germany, Denmark and Sweden Report Online Gambling Successes

There has recently been some good news regarding the online gambling industry for the European countries Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.

In Germany, the state of Schleswig Holstein has created its own online gambling policies for operators within its jurisdiction. While this was met with approval by the European Commission, actually making the policies law has been met with hurdles. However, despite the problems the state has run into with Social Democrats who are opposing the policy, Schleswig Holstein wants to take advantage of the opportunity it has before the April election to issue its online gambling licenses.

In Denmark, Prima Networks, a software service provider powered by Microgaming, has managed to successfully establish itself in the regulated internet gambling market. It currently operates 34 brands.

In Sweeden, Play Scan, a responsible gaming solution that was developed back in 2007, has managed to achieve accreditations from the World Lottery Association (WLA) and ISO. PlayScan is now recognized for meeting the gambling industry’s requirements for responsible gambling.
